Did these shots today for an artist submitting these quilts to a competition. What I love about being a photographer is being exposed to new things. While photographing these, I was made to look more closely than I ever would have otherwise. I probably couldn't sew a patch on my jeans to save my life, but these are so layered and complex, I can't imagine the work that goes into them. What I especially like about these two quilts (each quilt is shot in full and a close-up "detail" shot) is the fact that they are so different from each other. My favorite is the called "Green Flash", being both abstract and about nature. The other one is so cool in its' "retro" style.

Had the privilege of being the photographer for a Naval retirement ceremony last Saturday aboard the USS Constitution in Charlestown...the Stow Minutemen were also in attendance. Very cool...
