Did a shoot today at the Boston Children's Museum for Panorama Magazine's "kid issue". These inside shoots are always a challange lighting-wise. lots of reflective surfaces and dark corners. The kids were great, seemed to really enjoy themselves but said "my face hurts!" by the end....

Back on the Cape last Saturday for Anne & Alex's wedding. The rain held off all day and was able to get some family formals outside the church as well as some great beach pictures with the bridal party. More and more I think that outside is really the way to go for good portraiture, though having two flashes makes for some pretty cool dance pics....

Last Sunday I gave a "photo walk" for the Stow Conservation Trust. I didn't bring my camera, deciding to just talk and help out. It was alot of fun and the trail that's near my house is really beautiful, with a great boardwalk that meanders thru a swampy forest. So! Today I decided to go out by myself and get some local nature shots. The mosquitos were terrible, worse than Sunday, but I think I got some cool stuff. After sorting through my favorites, I discovered that I seem to have a "fern problem", I just seem to gravitate to 'em.

Had 2 weddings last weekend, one in Cohasset and another at the Tufts campus with the reception at the Westin Copley Hotel, both very nice and went well. I thought this time I'd just show some of the "detail" shots, no smiling happy couples, though they were there, just some shots of the flowers and fine accoutrements of the wedding ceremony....

This Sunday.....a slightly "unconventional" celebration for my cousin Chelsea's recent marriage to Andrew (town hall, weeks ago, my aunt and uncle the only witnesses).
The bride wore sky blue jeans with a lighter shade of laces on her sneakers while the groom wore I believe to be Kmart jeans and a shirt that is best described as "having buttons".
They're a great pair and it was alot of fun. Since a few of my relatives may be the only people who follow this blog with any regularity, in the interest of fairness, I included a photo of me dancing on the lawn...

Was busy last weekend...first up to Manchester NH for Annie and Zachary's Big Day. I have to say, it was great to be in a Catholic Church (St Francis of Assisi, Litchfield, NH) where the inside is painted white and has lots of natural sunlight streaming in. They're usually lighting nightmares but this place was beautiful and a pleasure to work in.....
